The Kosher Sutra is one of my favorite books on the Love Shelf. I have so many sticky flags coming out of pages – it could fly.
The Kosher Sutra is about reigniting passion and desire within a marriage, which is wonderful. But the Kosher Sutra also takes us on a journey whereby the reignited intimacy with our beloved spills out and fills our lives with passion.
I especially love how Rabbi Shmuley addresses BOREDOM, a state of mind that can ruin any relationship. How often we look to be entertained by outside stimulus, when some of the most exciting events are occurring in our partner’s hearts. By taking the time to probe and connect on a deeper level with our lover, we can find wonder and amazement right at home.
Rabbi Shmuley is a popular ratio show host on several national radio shows, including Sirius XM Satellite Radio and WABC. He is also the international bestselling author of twenty books, including the New York Times bestselling Kosher Sex and Ten Conversations You Need to Have with Your Children.
He’s one of the most famous influential rabbis in America and has been profiled in many of the world’s leading publications, including Time, Newsweek, the New York Times, London Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post and a front page contributor for the Huffington Post.
If you’re in a relationship where the bedroom has become a place to watch TV, or in a marriage that is platonic, you’ll find Rabbi Shmuley’s thoughtful, friendly and encouraging voice extremely helpful.
Rabbi Shmuley offers insights on something so few people have… intimacy…. true intimacy with their spouse. Through stories from his own practice in couple’s therapy, he shares hands on tips and resources to help you get in touch, deeply in touch, with your partner… and I’m not talking just sexual. He shows us how to ask the questions that illuminate the person your beloved really is today – to be insatiable about every aspect of your partner. That is what eroticism really is – complete connection.
By the way, this book has nothing to do with Judaism; in fact, Rabbi Shmuley speaks of several different religions in the book, including Christianity.
